The Diocese of Etna and Portland is one of five administrative units of the Church of the Genuine Orthodox Christians of America, an autonomous Eparchy of the Church of the Genuine Orthodox Christians of Greece. (The other four are the Metropolis of America, the Metropolis of Toronto, the Diocese of Boston, and the Exarchate of Uganda). The Diocese of Etna and Portland was established on January 9, 2015 (Old Style), through the merger of the Metropolis of Etna and of the Diocese of Portland.
